What a contrast to the heat and blazing sunny skies of yesterday. Rain and more rain. It's been raining all day, so it didn't take much for me to settle on this being my first real zero day of the hike. I made the calculations for Belden and Sierra City and should be able to hit the resupplies at the post office by doing 30-mile days. If the weather had been better, I may have headed out this afternoon, but deep down I am very glad for the extra rest and recovery time. My feet and legs are sore and the muscles are extremely tight. There are plenty of videos in the treehouse and sodas for sale in the fridge. Kick back and relax as the rain continues, pitter-patter outside.
